This is what I do for fun.  I love doing figure
sculpture!!!!!   I'm just going to put some
miscellaneous photos of work that I've done on
this page.  I would happily accept a
commission if you have an idea for a sculptural
piece.  Most of these sculptures involved live
models but I can make a copy from a piece
that I've already done.  Thanks for looking.
This is a good friend who generously shared her beautiful
pregnant body so that I could capture this moment in clay.
It's about 14" tall and unfired as of yet.  I'm looking into
some cold casting methods so that I can make a few
copies of this piece.
This is also a good friend who unknowingly agreed to this very difficult pose.   In this piece
I'm working with the concept of showing emotion.  I think it's especially important for men
to have more freedom to express their true emotions in this society.  Being the mother of
a son, I want to do all I can to help him to grow into an emotionally healthy man.
This is a favorite of mine that I created in terracotta 10
years ago.  Again, here is emotion captured in clay.  I
can't say that it's not a self portrait, at least in feeling.   I
had recently lost a marriage and my dog.   The
experience of making this piece was very cathartic.
Even now, when I have something on my mind, I pick up
a piece of clay.   On a lighter note, I have really enjoyed
working with running water in some of my sculptures and
I will get back to that again soon.   See my
elephant
fountain.
